The only reason you Real News Guys do such a good job on this progressive news stuff on the economy is because you want people to buy into your ridiculous and absurd coverage of the Middle East.
I hope you continue this great stuff on finance, but I’m very disappointed in the twisted and corrupt coverage of Israel and the Middle East.
part 1 – 5 great info! my thanks william black, paul jay.
mr.black seems to advise laws to reform finance, government.
i believe that time is LONG past..
We should all take note and speak up of the situation, for some type of change and reform.
And Also Pray for Our Country As Well.
Curious, with Fannie and Freddie responsible for 95% of mortgages, at what point does Congress and those directing these organizations get some credit for the pathetic design, oversight, and concept?
@Ullbritt – Actually, they should be executed! But instead, they are still in charge…..
The “next big one” will actually be a total collapse…….
Thank you Mr. Black.
I’m certain your knowledge and courage will enlighten many who listen.
I hope they will act to protect themselves from this criminal enterprise – this train wreck.
It seems the PA is turned off in the locomotive.
Perhaps that’s just as well.
Written after the federal reserve was formed in 1913, this poem nails it down. two posts
Birds of Prey
Their shadow dims the sunshine of our day,
As they go lumbering across the sky,
Squawking in joy of feeling safe on high,
Beating their heavy wings of owlish gray.
They scare the singing birds of earth away
As, greed-impelled, they circle threateningly,
Watching the toilers with malignant eye,
From their exclusive haven–birds of prey.
They swoop down for the spoil in certain might,
And fasten in our bleeding flesh their claws.
They beat us to surrender weak with fright,
And tugging and tearing without let or pause,
They flap their hideous wings in grim delight,
And stuff our gory hearts into their maws.

@PsyogiBottoms Read CWII – Civil War II. Great timeline based on demographics.
Paul Jay – ligthen up – smile and laugh – CHILL – don’t you think what is happening in the US is really comical?
Not really – it is really tragic! I share your sombreness!
@alennna Your living in a fantasy land, one of the basic foundations of a free market is property rights. Without the state enforcing property rights you don’t have a free market you have anarchic fudalisim.
@restlys Good question
I think with altruistic angels in charge any utopia can be achieved. But people have a tendency to pursue self interest and it includes benefiting mutual friends. Govt regulations in the economy never work (well maybe accidentally and only short term usually in favor of one group at the expense of others) for at least a dozen of good reasons. Why would any bank/corporation try to be decent when it simply can buy the Govt lol. And the politicians thrive on spending.
@Tapecutter59 use dictionaries. “Free market: Business governed by the laws of supply and demand, not restrained by government interference, regulation or subsidy.” Free market is a marvelous, most efficient and SELF-REGULATING mechanism benefiting the poor and creating large middle class egalitarian society. Fraudulent big firms cannot survive without Govt help (legislative, financial etc). the opposite of Free market is Regulated by the Govt market (leads to prices and resources chaos).
@Ullbritt was thinking the same thing. IMHO bill black, stiglitz, warren and spitzer should be in contol of the treasury/ fed and ron paul should be president.
I can dream can’t it?
Ptosis.
@alennna Like many people who rant about government regulating the “free market” you have no idea what the term “free market” actually means so let me break it down for you..
“Free” – Anyone can participate provided they play by the rules.
“Market” – A set of rules that define how transactions occur between participants.
In other words the term “unregulated free market” is an oxymoron, and the idea that people will regulate themselves is no different to the classic hippie commune fantasy.
this is one of the best series of interviews on the real news for a long time.
There is a word for crony capitalism. It is Fascism.
@alennna what about the argument that regulations can be passed to keep banks small enough….fragment them..and make them small enough to fail?
if that regulation was passed would that be a bad thing?
Thanks Real News!
well, what do you expect. murder of the Free Market in favor of the Govt regulations is the seed, the Govt connected thrive when everybody else are regulated out of the market to stop the competition is the bud, the complete collapse and chaos is the outcome , the blooming plant… just to think that it all started with giving the Govt power to regulate the economy and killing the free market regulations. In free market, without the Govt help the too big to fail would never get that big.
why should they be in jail, they supported obama so what do you think should happen. americans love to be rob i bet that’s why only 373 views
